Federal Review was established on the internet in 2000 and was a political weblog before weblog software relieved us of the trouble of directly editing html.  Direct html is how we covered the first Bush election.  Switched to Blogger in 2003, and now using WordPress.

Begun as an easy way to comment on news coverage, Federal Review was on of the first regularly published political blogs.  The contributors reside throughout the United States, with a concentration in North Carolina.  We span the polical spectrum from social conservative and country club republicans, neoconservative, paleoconservative and at least one occasional left of center contributor.  With authorization to post unmoderated comments is a left/libertarian/Democrat.  He may show up once in a while, we wish he’d come around more often.

The administrator of Federal Review would prefer that Federal Review keep away from simplistic gotcha politics and make clear arguments that elicit rational rebuttals.  But that’s a work in process.
