Mark Steyn pointed put yesterday that the mosque is bad but the 7 story whole in the ground a decade after 9-11 is the real shame. We are the nation we once were.

I'm getting the impression this type tactic is on the Dem strategy list for 2010. Just last week in CHatham Co. a very far left dem candidate for Board of Education bowed out of the race. However, she offered her endorsement for an african-american woman candidate with the only statement of qualification being that we needed the diversity on the board. You can look for more of this throughout the election season. "Dont worry about qualifications. Vote for the color or the sex."

Ah, poor New Yorkers are getting taxed!

Another New Yorker complaining about costs is Woody Allen.

"Although Woody Allen once made his films exclusively in New York, the acclaimed filmmaker has now chosen to use Europe as the backdrop for his current projects.

Allen, whose films used to be synonymous with the Big Apple, claims he no longer can afford to shoot in New York due to the high production costs"

I'm going to go out on a limb and assume that "high production cost" means union workers, taxes and fees.
Ah, too bad, Woody!

I suppose President Obama can say that the imam is “just some guy from the neighborhood.” or that it's all Bush's fault.

This is why I feel that most politicians are slimy. The next election trumps not only common sense, but also any human decency.

Good to know Murali. I write all my posts with a smile on my face. Its fun but nothing personal.

That's what's great about our great country. We have spirited debates, which may get heated, but at the end of day we can all have a virtual beer.

Turkey,

Stuff like this might not be a single huge event. However, when you look at all of these somewhat small events as a whole........ Gets scary!

I agree it is going to the Supreme Court. Hopefully the voters will will be upheld! As with the AZ law as well.

I take issue with the Judge's ruling and his clear conflict of interest.
